The meme represents the relatable frustration of people who constantly ask friends for Wi-Fi hotspots but then abuse the privilege by excessive data usage. The character is often called 'Mokondo' because they refuse to buy their own mobile data quota, yet always have money for snacks at the canteen. The meme satirizes the behavior of people who, once given hotspot access, immediately start downloading YouTube videos, watching TikTok, and downloading large game files like Genshin Impact data, despite initially claiming they only need it briefly.
